The Inventor (Durbanville)

A Style and colour course with the grand finale of you painting your own piece of furniture with our materials & guidance.

A day in which we help to invent a new look for an old piece of furniture.

We will start the day off with exploring and understand the Annie Sloan colour wheel. You will learn how to combine and work with colour to create harmony or contrast. How to take into consideration the inherent style of your furniture and what techniques will work well with your re-vamp.

The middle and last part of this workshop is a hands-on transformation of the piece of furniture you brought with you (in order for you to be able to finish your masterpiece in time, the item has to be small enough to fit on the front passenger seat of your car). We will explore revamping through:

• Stencilling

• Distressing

• Texture painting

• Coloured waxes

• Frottage

• Decoupage

Ang many other techniques - depending on what you want to create on the day.

This is about YOU inventing and getting to know your own style and creating what you imagine.

Please note that it is required that you have attended one of our intro workshops (called The Explorer) before doing this course.
